Pennsylvania JUUL Lawsuit Lawyers
Fighting for Victims of E-Cigarette & Addiction Injuries
In recent years, there has been a considerable backlash against e-cigarettes, especially the manufacturer of the popular e-cigarette brand JUUL. Teens and young adults have filed lawsuits against JUUL, claiming that the company’s products caused lung damage and led to hospitalization. Deceptive marketing may have played a huge role in getting teens and young adults addicted to nicotine and “JUULing.” JUUL has also been accused of sending one million tainted flavor pods out to customers.
If you or someone you love has been negatively affected by JUUL cigarettes or similar e-cigarette products, Fellerman & Ciarimboli Law PC can guide you through the process of filing a JUUL lawsuit and seeking compensation for your damages, including medical bills, lost income/wages, and pain and suffering.

What Is a JUUL?
A JUUL is a form of electronic cigarette (e-cigarette) that is about the size of a USB thumb drive and, coincidentally, is charged via USB cable. JUUL devices use nicotine in the form of a liquid paired with flavoring, glycerin, and propylene glycol. With the use of JUUL’s onboard battery and heating coils, the liquid is heated when inhaled and turned into vapor, hence the term “vaping.” JUUL and similar devices are referred to as electronic nicotine delivery systems (ENDS).
This USB style e-cigarette uses a pod system to deliver the nicotine to the user. The pod attaches to the top of the unit where the battery leads and coils sit. These units are highly addictive, as one pod unit contains nearly as much nicotine as a pack of cigarettes! The liquid contained in these pods has a much larger concentration of nicotine in each draw that is absorbed into the body at a much higher rate than tobacco cigarettes.
JUUL Lawsuits
Recently, two Philadelphia area school districts sued JUUL, along with many others across the nation, for harm caused to students through JUUL’s negligent marketing, which has been instrumental in getting teens addicted to nicotine. These types of cases are popping up all over the nation and are becoming more and more common.
JUUL lawsuits allege that the company’s aggressive marketing tactics are getting teens hooked on higher concentrations of nicotine that are more dangerous to still-developing lungs.
As a result, teens have suffered from nicotine poisoning, which can result in:
- Seizures
- Convulsions
- Joint pain
- Blood clots
- Heart injuries
- Embolisms
- Elevated blood pressure
- Stroke
Despite the known dangers, JUUL’s domination expands to over half the market share of e-cigarettes. Many lawsuits claim that JUUL purposely made this device small and sleek to attract younger users. This caused traditional cigarette smoking rates to fall to 3.6% in recent years from 29% in 1976, while JUUL use among teens skyrocketed.
