Attorney Brian C. Corcoran has been practicing law since 1983. He has been certified by the National Board of Civil Trial Advocacy which requires demonstrated experience and expertise in actual trials of litigated disputes, as well as handling and evaluating civil controversies prior to suit and prior to trial. Attorney Corcoran has been certified as a federal mediator which requires practicing law for at least 10 years as well as completion of a mandatory training course on mediation in federal court.
Prior to joining Fellerman & Ciarimboli Attorney Corcoran worked as a solo practitioner handling serious negligence and workers' compensation cases. He has also tried numerous criminal law cases and was Death Penalty Qualified by the Administrative Office of Pennsylvania Courts. He has been appointed as Conflicts Counsel by the Luzerne County Court to litigate major criminal defense cases for 20 years and has worked part-time for the Luzerne County Public Defender’s Office litigating many major criminal cases. Attorney Corcoran graduated from King’s College in 1980 with honors and from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 1983. He is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, as well as the United States District Courts for the Middle District of Pennsylvania and the United States Eastern District Court for Pennsylvania. He has served on the Executive Committee of the Wilkes-Barre Law and Library Association as well as Ethics Counsel to Luzerne County. Attorney Corcoran has been a member of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) and has attended numerous educational programs involving litigating automobile collisions, medical malpractice cases as well as disability cases. He also has been appointed as a solicitor for local boroughs in Luzerne County. He is a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and has served as an Advocate on St Joseph Maurello Knights of Columbus Counsel 16071. Attorney Corcoran is also a lector at St Joseph Maurello Church in Pittston.
