Melanie Fellerman

Attorney Melanie Fellerman of Harvey’s Lake, Pennsylvania is a Cum Laude graduate from Widener University Delaware Law School, where she obtained her Juris Doctor. She is a dean’s list graduate from Penn State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, as well as a Master of Science in Nursing in the Nurse Executive Program from Wilkes University. While in law school, she completed judicial internship for the Honorable Joseph F. Saporito, Jr. for the United States District Court in Middle District of Pennsylvania, a Certified Legal Internship for the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office, as well as legal internship for Fellerman and Ciarimboli Law. While in law school she received the Reed Hamilton Memorial Award for demonstrating excellence in the area of health law.

Attorney Fellerman is a lawyer and a registered nurse who focuses her practice on healthcare and medical malpractice. She has specific focus on representing areas of health law as well as the victims of medical negligence and birth injury.

Prior to joining Fellerman & Ciarimboli, Law PC, Attorney Fellerman has worked over 20 years as a practicing Registered Nurse. Initially starting her career as a Labor and Delivery Nurse, Melanie has practiced in multiple states, at various sized hospitals including small community hospitals to large Level III centers giving care for a broad range of high-risk maternal and fetal conditions. This level includes the ability to care for critically ill pregnant women and fetuses, with on-site access to subspecialists like maternal-fetal medicine experts, neonatologists, and pediatric surgeons.

Later, Melanie advanced her career as Director of Nursing for home health care company, with extensive experience in quality patient care, developing policies, managing staff, and adhering to regulatory state and federal standards. Continuing to excel in an administrative healthcare role, Melanie decided to start her own business providing services that combined retail pharmacy, home infusion, and nursing. As a healthcare business owner, Melanie has extensive experience with insurance contracts, pharmacy regulations, home infusion, nursing clinical supervisor, business strategy, financial management, regulatory state and federal compliance including HIPAA and quality assurance programs.

When her business closed in 2021, Melanie considered pursuing advanced nursing education, however, after consideration of all the health law issues she and her colleagues encountered regularly, she decided that law might be a better fit.

Attorney Fellerman works meticulously and thoroughly on behalf of her clients. On her time away from work, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Greg, their children, and of course their loving bernedoodle, Lola.
